You’re only human. After six grueling hours of playing perhaps the most stressful game in the world, you sometimes can’t sleep. It’s a tired mind at the best of times. At those moments, it’s easy to forget that you’re still sitting at the poker table.
In the end, poker is a game of streaks. There’s the small stuff and then the big stuff. Sometimes for an hour you might fold a hand that you think you should have in the first place. At those intervals, you’re not really playing poker, you’re playing your emotions, and those emotions are closely linked to the kind of poker that will pay out the best. Poker professionals understand that the situation in the tournament does not affect their hand, even if it’s a very important moment.
There are also more than a few times that you’ll be so frustrated with a weak situation that you blow away your buyin to play a lousy hand. When that happens, you’re not alone. That mistake can cost you a lot of money as you’re bidding against more seasoned players. That’s a lot of chips you’ll loose if that’s the case. Don’t let your ego get in the way of a good decision to steal blinds.
If I could only sum up my feelings about the new Mega88 software so far, it would be that it’s a great improvement, addition, orversely, bad to use. I’m not sure which option you’d prefer. I do feel that PokerStars has made strides forward though, and their is more room now to customise and make changes to the software. You can also argue that you’re given more detailed statistics on your play so you can spend more time on your poker strategy.
Overall, I think Poker Stars has made a great improvement to the way poker is played online. I haven’t tried using software to play on real money sites, but I’m sure that it would be extremely profitable. If you’re an avid player of cash games, I think PokerStars is still definitely the easiest place to make money. The tables are tight, so you know that you’re not going to be able to steal many pots, if any at all. Everyone seems to have the beginnings of a good poker strategy, but none seem to be able to implement it into consistent winnings. I do play on PokerStars, however, and I’m sure that you will as well.
If you’re not sure whether to invest in a poker calculator, or whether an actual poker strategy chart would work, then you’re probably just not very good at it. Don’t worry; the charts are extremely easy to read. The only thing you have to remember is that these charts will work online just as they do offline. These charts will work online the same way that they do offline, so get used to reading them that you’re not using your computer.
